North Central New Mexico's Events

July 2004               “The Rocks begin to Speak” will feature the Vecinos del Rio petroglyph preservation project. The Espanola Library is pleased to announce a series of summer exhibits in conjunction with the statewide summer reading program.  All exhibits will fill the display case in the library with interesting and colorful books, photographs, text and other archival materials relating to these southwestern themes. All exhibits are open to the public for free during library hours. For more information contact the Espanola Library at 747-6088 or Rabia van Hattum at 685-4500.

 

Jul 9-23, 2004      Words in the Dust.  The James Hart Gallery is pleased to present artists Bobbe Besold and Thelma Mathias in a two person exhibition of their work. The show opens Friday, July 9th, from 6PM to 8PM and runs through July 23, with performances on Friday, the 23rd ,from 7 pm –8 pm by the artists. The multifaceted Besold and Mathias utilize language and conceptual ideas in their work, with their messages occasionally inter-weaving and playing off each other.
